The Habitat for Humanity Affiliate in Newark , NJ has teamed up with the Town of West Orange to buildaffordable housing in West Orange NJ . You may qualify to purchase a 2 bedroom unit in a “to be built” two unit condominium/ home at an extremely affordable price. (As mandated by the NJ Coalition for Affordable Housing).
Are You Eligible?
1) Is your current housing unsafe, overcrowded, poorly maintained or too expensive for you?
2) Are you and your family willing to work a minimum of 400 hours to help build your home, and the home of your Habitat for Humanity neighbor?
3) Do you keep current with all bills and payments?
4) Are you a household of at least 3 family members and earning between $23,630 and $39,381 or a household of 4 family members and earning between $26,255 and $43,757?
Description of the Habitat House
· Location – 112 Whittlesey Avenue , West Orange , NJ
· Type of Building Two unit building sold as condominium to two owners
o Unit 2 : Upper level; 2 bedrooms and 1½ baths
o Unit has one parking space.
o No $ down mortgage at zero percent interest. (Yes you can afford this)
